Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the Greater Cabarrus Foundation is comprised of a dedicated group of community leaders who bring a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to fostering positive change in Cabarrus County. Each member brings unique perspectives and expertise from diverse fields such as banking, wealth management, law, education, healthcare, and philanthropy.
United by a common goal to enhance the quality of life for all residents, the Board works collaboratively to guide the Foundation’s strategic direction, ensuring that our initiatives and programs effectively address the most pressing needs of our community. Through their leadership, vision, and unwavering dedication, the Greater Cabarrus Foundation will make a meaningful impact.

Our Team
Cam Cruickshank, Ph.D.
President and CEO
Cam Cruickshank, Ph.D. serves as the inaugural President and CEO of the Greater Cabarrus Foundation. Dr. Cruickshank is an accomplished higher education and nonprofit executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience guiding organizational growth, strengthening financial sustainability, and advancing mission-driven impact. He is also an experienced consultant and entrepreneur.
Dr. Cruickshank previously served as President of Cabarrus College of Health Sciences, where he oversaw all academic, financial, operational, and external affairs for a private health sciences institution affiliated with Atrium Health. Under his leadership, the college achieved record enrollment—with growth of 64%, increased student diversity by 125%, expanded its academic portfolio, strengthened financial resilience, and significantly enhanced institutional visibility and philanthropic engagement.
In addition to supporting effective governance and building board relationships in higher education, he has served as a board member in non-profit organizations such as the Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte, the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation, and the Cabarrus Health Alliance Community Health Center.
Dr. Cruickshank also has extensive experience in start-up organizations and in launching new initiatives, as he has founded companies, a college within a university, a new branch campus, and dozens of new academic and extracurricular programs. Since he arrived in Concord in 2020, Cam has also used his know-how in start-up organizations by serving as a mentor to founders of companies who wish to grow and establish roots in Cabarrus County through the venture mentoring service (VMS) program at the Cabarrus Center for Entrepreneurship.
A native of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Cam holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Windsor, a Master of Education from Bowling Green State University, a Master of Business Administration from Tiffin University, and a doctoral degree in higher education administration from The University of Toledo. Cam and his wife, Margarita, have four adult children, and enjoy golf, travel, and the beach.
Jenn Delaney
Director of Capacity Building Services, Support Cabarrus
Jenn Delaney brings nearly two decades of experience in operations, human resources, and client services across the creative, tech, and marketing landscape. Before joining the Greater Cabarrus Foundation, she held leadership roles in project management and people operations at global agencies and early-stage companies, where she specialized in building scalable systems and cross-functional teams.
In her current role, Jenn leads Support Cabarrus, the Foundation’s Capacity-Building initiative that provides financial, marketing, and development support to local nonprofits.
A Cabarrus County native, Jenn is passionate about creating practical, sustainable solutions that help mission-driven organizations thrive. Jenn lives in Concord with her family and is proud to call this community home.
Robbie Furr
Director of Development
Robbie Furr is a dynamic leader with a strong background in community engagement, strategic planning, and organizational development. A Cabarrus County native, Robbie previously held leadership roles with NC State University’s NC Cooperative Extension, where he developed community programs, led over 500 volunteers, and collaborated with local governments and nonprofits.
As a certified facilitator, he guided strategic planning, team building, and professional development initiatives. Robbie holds a Master’s from NC State and a Bachelor’s from UNC Charlotte. He has served as Board Chair for the Cabarrus Arts Council and local Partnerships for Children and is active on Harrisburg’s Planning Board and with the Rotary Club.
Robbie lives in Harrisburg with his husband, Peter, and is a proud father and “G-Paw.”
Avalin Inman
Marketing Coordinator
Avalin Inman is a digital marketing strategist and nonprofit storyteller with more than a decade of experience helping organizations and small businesses grow their online presence and deepen their community impact. After spending nine years with a leading Concord-based agency, she now leads her own digital marketing business, where she specializes in mission-driven marketing for nonprofits alongside select small business clients.
Throughout her career, Avalin has supported the marketing and outreach efforts of numerous Cabarrus County organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, ReStore Cabarrus, Cannon YMCA, Cabarrus Partnership for Children, and Families First in Cabarrus County. She is passionate about using thoughtful, strategic content to connect people to causes that matter and to strengthen the local community.
Outside of her professional work, Avalin volunteers nearly every Saturday with Kreitzer’s Critter Corral Puppy Rescue, helping rescued puppies and adult dogs find their forever homes during adoption events at Petco. At home in Kannapolis, she is kept company by her two adopted fur babies — her dog, Orion, and her cat, Peru.

Ashley Sedlak-Propst
Program Manager, Board Services
Ashley is a consultant and American historian with over a decade of experience working for and with nonprofits. She is an Associate with moss+ross, a Raleigh-based nonprofit consulting firm that supports the work of organizations across North Carolina. Ashley also serves as the volunteer Development Chair for the North Carolina Museums Council and is on the Board of Directors for Historic Cabarrus Association, Inc. In her free time she enjoys knitting, reading, going to the gym, traveling, and exploring trails in and around Cabarrus County with her husband Bradley and their two dogs Strider and Wynnie.
Kimberly Leatherman
Community Outreach
Kimberly Leatherman is an entrepreneurial leader with strong ties to the community and nonprofit board experience on the boards of Habitat for Humanity, Cannon School, and the First Presbyterian Board of Deacons and Elders. Her professional experience includes work in the health and fitness industry and service as the Cabarrus Family Medicine Residency Coordinator. Kimberly lives in Concord, with her husband of more than 26 years, Britt. Kimberly and Britt have three sons.
