The Greater Cabarrus Foundation is proud to support local nonprofit agencies dedicated to addressing the most critical social determinant issues in our community. These organizations work tirelessly to improve the quality of life by focusing on following key areas the Foundation has identified as the most critical:

    • Coltrane Life Center

      • Mission: To improve the quality of life for frail and impaired adults and their families through specialized adult daytime services.

    • Elder Orphan Care

      • Mission: To expand our reach to serve more of our world’s rapidly aging population, advocate for their care, and encourage others with what we are learning along the way.

      • Mission: To reduce the number of children, seniors & families suffering with food insecurity.

    • Cabarrus Meals on Wheels

      • Mission: To provide one well-balanced hot meal a day each weekday to individuals who are unable to prepare meals for themselves and have no one to prepare one hot meal a day for them.

    • Cooperative Christian Ministry

      • Mission: To provide immediate assistance to members of our community who are experiencing crisis in the areas of food, housing, or finances while engaging them in a series of actions that will empower them to move beyond crisis.

    • Esthers Heart for Transformation Ministry

      • Mission: To equip our youth and their families through various empowerment workshops and programs to fulfill their purpose and destiny. To empower and educate them to express themselves through various outlets and activities.

    • Feed the Souls Food Pantry

      • Mission: We strive to share God’s love through serving and feeding those in need in the Midland and surrounding areas.

    • Harrisburg Food Pantry

      • Mission: To provide food to Harrisburg residents who don’t have enough to eat and need help with groceries for their next meal.

      • Mission: To heal & elevate hope while meeting basic human needs, one life at a time.

    • Opportunity House

      • Mission: To serve the people of Cabarrus County by providing resources to meet the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of people experiencing homelessness; while collaborating with community constituents to develop and implement practical solutions that address the root causes of homelessness.

      • Mission: Providing hope, promotes wellness and empowers individuals and families impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injury.

      • Mission: Providing advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.

      • Mission: To provide an affordable, home-like environment for adults, age 18 and older who have successfully completed primary residential treatment for substance dependence and who have the sincere desire to remain in a supportive recovering community as they practice and develop their sober lifestyle and continue to grow mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially.

      • Mission: Equipping vulnerable young adults including those who have aged out of foster care to thrive instead of survive through supportive housing, structured programs, and mentoring.

    • Tucker Center of Hope/The Salvation Army

      • Mission: To provide a safe, compassionate place for people experiencing homelessness, offering shelter, case management, and programs like the Pathway of Hope initiative to break the cycle of poverty and guide residents toward stable, self-sufficient futures.

      • Mission: Dedicated to providing crisis assistance, educational, recreational, and empowerment opportunities in a safe environment.
